I offer strictly personal one-on-one coaching plans created from your personal history, current fitness and goals. These plans are based on a periodized training approach of Base, Build, Race (if racing) or Goal Achievement. I start with your race or training goals (example: I want to be at this distance in this sport by this date) or I would like to do these races on these dates.
Couch-to Program: 5k up to Marathon or Sprint Triathlon up to Ironman Distance and more
Building Endurance: Walk, Run, Swim, Kayaking, Cycling and more
Combining Sports: Swim & Bike, Kayak & Run, Elliptical & Strength and more
Adding a Strength Program: Basic Strength, Static Holds, Bodyweight and more
From your goals and current fitness, I will design your plan, first from a Macrocycle standpoint where this can be anywhere from a half a year to a year. This part is generally the overall volume trends given your available training time. Once that is established, I break this down into several Mesocycles where I design your training volume (distance and/or hours) into various phases such as Base, Build, Recovery, Taper and Race or Goal Achievement. Each of these phases can last one to several weeks depending on your goals and timelines.
The last cycle that I design is the Microcycle which outlines the specific weekly training workouts, incorporating drills for technique along with various levels of intensity.
Each phase of the Mesocycle will incorporate two to three weeks of active training followed by a week of 'active recovery'.
